pool (no water)
In pool (no water),
playwright Mark Ravenhill
takes an uncompromising
and in-depth look at how
close love and destruction lie
when we compromise our
own ethics for a sniff at fame
and success.

Through themes of jealousy,
friendship, ambition and
greed, Ravenhill delves into
the darker side of human
nature with razor sharp
humour.

The play follows a group of
young artists grappling as
they develop an art project
with sinister connotations.
Following a tragic accident
the collective oscillates
between chasing success and
confronting their own guilty
conscience.

At the end of the day, who
amongst them really
deserves the spotlight?

HOW TO NOT GET CRAZY IN A WORLD THAT IS CRAZY (We'll fix it later)
Two artists try to create a theater play, but between rewrites and doubt, they’re confronted by the overwhelming weight of the world outside their rehearsal space.

Grappling with the absurdity and grief of living in a time shaped by war, rising extremism, gender-based violence, climate collapse, technological addiction, and a growing lack of empathy.

Through a fusion of artistic forms, the play moves between the deeply personal and the overwhelmingly political - asking what it means to make art in a world that feels like it’s on fire, and whether it’s still possible to find beauty, laughter, and meaning in the middle of it all.
Directed by Tim Tonndorf
Scenes from Macbeth
Cours Florent's Third Semester International Presents:

Delicately Selected,
Freshly Seasoned Cuts From:
'Macbeth' by William Shakespeare
Featuring texts by Gabriella Neves

In our third semester, we had the amazing privilege to work with an amazing director on an amazing and timeless piece.

With sixteen people, we each took on partner scenes within the story reflecting on the essence of human desire, fear and greed, tying them together with bigger and bolder moments in which the whole ensemble participated.

The journey was difficult, inspiring and eye opening, as to what theatre can be.

Brecht's Dolls
This short film reimagines Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House using Bertolt Brecht’s alienation technique. Nora’s final confrontation is interrupted by direct commentary to prevent emotional immersion and encourage critical reflection.

Created as part of an acting methods exam exploring political theatre, performance as critique, and the role of women in classic narratives.

Alienation effect achieved? Or did you still root for her to stay?

How do we tolerate?
How de we forgive?

In our second semester, we were tasked with creating a ten minute film from scratch as a group, with each person having to perform each production role at least once.

It was a difficult but rewarding journey, as we dipped our toes into the world of film production, going to great length's in set design, costume and makeup.

Synecdoche,

This film has changed the very essence of cinema for me.

Taking me to unseen and unexplored,
uncomfortable heights.

Left me with immense,
gut retching, devastating,
visceral, all consuming sensations
of hopelessness, comfort and bliss,
all at once.

Provoking questions,
reaching down into the very
essence of existence
and the miracle of life,

and how we waste it.
